ALTARPIECE OF SANTO DOMINGO SORIANO. XVII CENTURY

This altarpiece is paired with the altarpiece on the gospel side. It is from the seventeenth century in a baroque style. It consists of two bodies. In the lower one there is a Sacred Heart. This image was taken by the teachers' union in the procession on Palm Sunday around 1949 and 1950.

In the upper part there is a painting that represents Santo Domingo Soriano that appears with the book and the rod of lilies and in the background the scene of the miracle of the Virgin and the Holy Woman. The Solomonic columns are decorated with bunches of grapes, a symbol of the Eucharist.
